IPod speakers made out of cardboard
If you have ever had a 12 yr old brother, grandson, nephew, son in-law you will be personally acquainted with the phenomenon of objects, mostly technical objects mysteriously being broken within 2 days of being in the vicinity of said 12 yr old boy. If you know of what I speak then you may want to cast your eyes over these wonderfully DIY iPod speakers. Made of cardboard, yes cardboard that turns into an 80’s style boombox, they will delight those who like to get their hands dirty and make and break things.
According to the ace designers at Suck UK, these iPod speakers, that metamorphosis into an 80’s icon, are a “doodle” to build. The whole kit comes flat packed, which the owner then assembles by folding the cardboard into the ghetto blaster shape, attaching the speakers and putting in the batteries. The sound is pretty good for cardboard and no need to worry about breakage, especially with a nice little £20 price tag. They might just be the most novel and cheapest iPod speakers on the market.
